Oh me, oh my...why does the time go by...so FAST!  Since my last post, we've celebrated Keaton's first birthday, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Kory's birthday...need I go on?!!!

For two parent's who were told their child would not live, seeing my beautiful child celebrate his first birthday was nothing short of miraculous.  Although Keaton really only cared about the dive into the bright blue birthday cake, I thing his party was amazing!  Thanks to everyone who helped me pull it off.  Thanks Mom, Dad & Avery for all of your help on those giant frames for the front yard.  They turned out exactly like I pictured them in my head.

Stayed tuned for birthday number 2...I'm thinking there are Dinosaurs in our future!

What an Infectious Household!

No, really...the Koehler household is full of infection this week!  Our poor Keaton has an eye infection which had us hanging out at Texas Children's all day this past Sunday.  My poor husband has an infection of the throat called Uvulitis...go figure.  As a mom and a wife, I can honestly say...I think it is easier taking care of a sick child, than caring for a sick man.  Lol.  Needless to say, everyone is beginning to feel much better!

Wrapping Up the Holidays

   Keaton's first Christmas was gifts galore and so much more! Kory and I spent almost two hours assisting Keaton in opening his gifts.  Of course, we had to inspect every toy and listen to every song it played.  Let's just say, I'm very familiar with Oh Susana and my ABC's.   Keaton is mesmerized by all of the music and all of the entertainment provided by the light shows!  He reaches out to push the button so it plays over and over.  Note to self...ask Santa for batteries next year. Lol.
Keaton received gifts from all over the world...from Australia and London to Indiana and Arizona.  Every time I saw a package at the front door, my heart just melted because I knew someone cared enough to make his Christmas extra special.  To all of our family and friends around the world...thank you and wonderful wishes for all the blessings you could ask for.  We dearly love each and everyone one of you.

Oh what joy, oh what fun...

I LOVE dressing up my son!  Yes, I have officially gone overboard with Keaton's Christmas wardrobe.  From Christmas pajamas to Christmas socks, Keaton's holiday attire always ROCKS!

Where does the time go?!?!

I have fallen down on the job updating everyone on Keaton's MRI...big apologies!  This image was better than the one they were able to capture when he was in the NICU.  According to the neurologist, there has been no change in anything.  However, the neurologist is excited about Keaton's progress and encouraged us to continue with all of the therapy.  Thanks to all of you for your prayers and support. Big hugs.
